Leadership & Operations
There are two divisions within Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department: the Business Division and the Operations Division.
The Business Division consists of two governing bodies that manage the non-operational side of the department: the Business Officers and the Board of Directors.
The Operations Division is the public side of the station, responsible for response and service. The Operations Division is led by the chief of the of the department, aided by an assistant chief and a deputy chief. captains and lieutenants are assigned as company officers and have specific duties delegated to them.
Business Officers
The President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Assistant Secretary are elected by the members.

The President is also the chairman of the Board of Directors. The President is in charge of building and grounds, assigns and oversees committees

The Vice President handles the social hall with the office manager and the bingo manager

The Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer manage the financials of the department

The Secretary and Assistant Secretary are the official record keepers and document minutes of official meetings
Business meetings are held the first Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m. at Station 36.

Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a body of elected members who jointly oversee the activities of the department, ensuring departments bylaws are followed. The board is the primary governing body of the department charged with:
- Governing the organization by enacting policies and objectives
- Ensuring the availability of adequate financial resources
- Approving annual budgets
- Setting the salaries and compensation of company employees
The duties imposed on directors are fiduciary duties. Directors must act in what they consider is in the best interest of the company.
