Fire Prevention and Safety Education

Part of our mission at the Belle Valley Volunteer Fire Department is fire prevention and other education. We provide fire and injury prevention and other educational programs to citizens, schools, community organizations and businesses. Classes are taught by our firefighters, sometimes with the assistance of regional fire and safety officials or neighboring fire departments. We make every effort to accommodate all requests we receive.

Topics we can address include:

  • Fire extinguisher training
  • Fire prevention in the home and office
  • Emergency planning
  • Smoke detector programs
  • Fire drills

Nationally, Fire Prevention week is held every year in October (although fire prevention needs to be conducted all year long). Every year we visit our local school’s to teach students about the importance of fire safety. School administrators: Please call early to schedule your fire prevention talk.

To schedule the Belle Valley Fire Department to appear at your event for any type of fire prevention talk, please visit our contact us page  or call us at (814) 825-4359.
