How does Belle Valley use my donation?
Your donation helps us with equipment purchases, apparatus maintenance and fuel; emergency medical supplies; safety equipment for our volunteers; training and certifications for our volunteers; repairs and upkeep of the station; community education; and more.
What if I can't afford a large donation?
It is as simple as donating .1% of the value of your home. For example, if your house is valued at $100,000, we are asking for only $100 in support of the emergency services we provide. We also accept vehicle and building donations, which we use for training purposes.
What state and local funding do you get?
Historically, our department earned funds from the state. However, as that money is funneled into the paid Millcreek Fire Department, we expect a total loss of state funding in 2025. We do not receive any of the funds raised by the fire tax in Millcreek Township.
